Farm ponds are essential for sustainable agriculture in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They store monsoon runoff for use in dry months, recharge the local water table, support livestock, and even allow fish farming as a side income. The Tamil Nadu government, MGNREGA scheme, and PMKSY (Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana) all offer substantial subsidies for farm pond construction — many districts including Tirupattur, Salem, Erode and Coimbatore have aggressive farm-pond targets. We excavate farm ponds of all sizes — from small 30 ft × 30 ft household ponds to large 200 ft × 200 ft commercial ponds — with the proper slope, depth, and inlet/outlet design for maximum water retention and minimum siltation.
